Over the past period, we at HoorayHR have had the pleasure of announcing a range of improvements and new features. We’ve listened to your feedback and implemented numerous optimizations, including document generation, workflows, and personnel files, making everything even more efficient. In this edition of the roadmap update, we’d love to give you a brief summary of the most important updates.

Newly added
Document generation, signing, and management
With the revamped document feature, generating, signing, and managing documents is a breeze. Easily create a document based on a template. The template is automatically filled with the correct values from the employee’s profile, eliminating repetitive administrative tasks. Simply add document templates, generate the document, and save valuable time in this business process.

Setting categories and adjustable permissions
We now offer the ability to manage documents within different categories. Additionally, you can configure user permissions per category. This allows you to define who has access to specific document categories and what editing rights each user has. This ensures a clear and secure document storage system within your HR administration. Free document signing
Starting now, it’s possible to sign documents for free. You can have up to three documents per personnel file signed for free each year. Need more? No problem! Additional signing requests cost only €1.10 per fully signed document. Want to start signing right away? Check out our article: “How does digital signing of a document work?”
Workflows 2.0
Our revamped Workflows feature makes managing business processes easier and more efficient. Workflows can be used to automate your business processes, including smart task lists, automatic reminders, and the ability to link actions to tasks.
As an HR manager, you gain insight into who needs to do what and when. You can easily divide business processes into different categories and have a clear overview of all ongoing (and overdue) workflows within the organization. With flexible templates, you can set up a process in just minutes.

Teamleader Focus integration
With the integration between HoorayHR and Teamleader Focus, absences such as leave and sick days are automatically synchronized, including public holidays and mandatory days off. This ensures that your organization’s capacity planning and time reporting are always up to date.
Activating this integration is simple and can be done directly via HoorayHR.

Simplicate integration
With the integration between HoorayHR and Simplicate, absences such as leave and sick days are automatically synchronized. Only approved requests are processed, ensuring that your capacity planning in Simplicate is always up to date.
Easily activate the integration via HoorayHR and maintain an always up-to-date capacity plan!

Tell-a-friend program

Deleting personnel files
When an employee leaves the company, it’s important to securely dispose of documentation according to legal retention periods. From now on, you can completely delete personnel files of former employees, keeping your HR administration organized and fully compliant with GDPR regulations. No unnecessary data; just a well-structured, clean database.

Passkeys: easier and more secure login
You can now log in using passkeys: a secure and convenient way to access your account without a password. With a digital key linked to your device, you can log in instantly using fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, or a PIN code.
This method not only makes logging in faster but also more secure, as passkeys are unique and provide better protection against hacking and phishing attempts. You can easily set up a passkey in your security settings.

Upcoming improvements
We’re excited to share three major upcoming updates to keep you in the loop about what’s next for HoorayHR. These updates are a sneak peek—final implementations may vary, and we can’t provide exact deadlines just yet.
Of course, we’re also working on smaller optimizations and new or improved integrations. If you have suggestions, additions, or feedback based on these updates, please let us know! We aim to incorporate as many of your requests as possible.
Absence 2.0: Multiple Phases per Absence Report, Labels, and Document Linking
We’re on the verge of launching a major update to our Absence feature. Many customers have requested the ability to track multiple phases within an absence report.
With Absence 2.0, you’ll be able to:
- Track multiple phases within a single absence case
- Easily attach documents related to an absence report
- Manage absences in compliance with Dutch Gatekeeper Act (Wet Poortwachter)
- Categorize absence reports using labels
This enhancement will help you track employee absences more effectively while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Template Gallery: inspiration & examples for Reports, Feedback, Documents, and Workflows
We’ve noticed a growing demand for ready-to-use templates to help users make the most of HoorayHR. That’s why we’re introducing a Template Gallery packed with examples to help you streamline your HR processes even faster.

Work locations: easily add multiple locations for your employees
We’ve heard your feedback—many users want the ability to register multiple, personalized work locations within HoorayHR. Currently, we distinguish between working from home and at the office, but we’re taking it a step further!
With the upcoming Work Locations feature, you’ll be able to add additional work locations, such as other offices or remote workspaces.
