Now that the holiday season has arrived and the sun is making more frequent appearances, it’s a great time to reflect on the fantastic developments we’ve achieved over the past year at HoorayHR. We also look ahead, as we have many exciting plans for the rest of this year. Here’s a sneak preview!

New in quarters 1 and 2
Develop your team with 360-degree feedback!
At the beginning of the year, we launched a significant expansion for our personal development module: 360-degree feedback. Employees can now easily request feedback from colleagues, managers, and even external parties (without requiring a HoorayHR account). It’s simple to create and save questionnaires as templates, aimed at stimulating the development of the employee.

Digital signing available for everyone
From now on, it’s possible to start a digital signature directly from HoorayHR. With a document, you can easily select which colleagues (or external parties) need to sign, and invitations are automatically sent. You get insight into the status and receive the signed documents both by email and in HoorayHR.

Configurable admin rights in HoorayHR
With the growth of HoorayHR and the different organizational structures among our clients, it became important to offer more configurable rights and roles. Therefore, in addition to team leader rights, we have now launched the ability to assign admin rights for specific functions to standard employees. This is super handy for office managers, planners, and financial employees!

This improvement is useful for:
- Access to specific information for payroll administration or office managers
- Adding extra information about colleagues in the personnel file
- Managing insight into information within HoorayHR
Extra fields in profiles
The extra fields in the profile have been updated. You can now easily set per field which roles can view and edit the field. For example, you can choose to make a field visible to the employee but only allow the admin (or team leader) to fill it in. Or add a public field that the employee can fill in themselves.

Enhanced notes with configurable admin rights
Our notes feature has been expanded with configurable rights. From now on, it’s possible to add notes in an employee’s personnel file, both by you as the admin and by a team leader. This way, you can collaborate well to keep an overview of the information you want to keep per employee.

Loket.nl integration
At the beginning of the year, we launched the integration with Loket.nl. Thanks to this link between Loket.nl and HoorayHR, salary mutations can now be processed automatically.
Information from HoorayHR is directly synchronized and offers the following benefits:
- Automatic onboarding and offboarding of employees
- No more manual mutations: automatic processing of profile data, salaries, contracts, and work schedules
- Automatic import of employees into HoorayHR for a flying start
- Automatic import of payslips and annual statements
This integration is useful for:
- Complete support for the onboarding of new colleagues
- Easily import payslips into HoorayHR and share with colleagues
- Direct processing of mutations within HoorayHR to Loket.nl

Microsoft Teams integration
Thanks to the integration between HoorayHR and Microsoft Teams, you will receive notifications directly in Microsoft Teams. This way, you are always aware of your HR administration and can open tasks directly from Microsoft Teams.
This integration is useful for:
- Receive notifications from HoorayHR in Microsoft Teams.
- See immediately who has submitted a request Easily go from Microsoft Teams to HoorayHR to review requests
- Also handy for employees; they receive updates on their requests directly in Microsoft Teams.

More optimizations and integrations
In addition to these improvements, more product updates and improvements have been added within HoorayHR. We are happy to list them to keep you fully informed of all updates!
Make two-factor authentication mandatory for employees
From now on, you can make two-factor authentication mandatory for colleagues within your organization. After logging in, employees are automatically asked to link an authenticator app to HoorayHR, so they can then access the data in HoorayHR with 2FA.
Overlapping leave
From now on, it is possible to register leave that overlaps multiple days. For example, if an employee has already taken a few days off but wants to extend this request to a whole week? Schedule the new request, approve it, and the leave hours are automatically calculated correctly.
New integrations within the HoorayHR ecosystem
Besides implementing improvements and new product updates within HoorayHR, we have also expanded our integration ecosystem. This makes it even easier to integrate HoorayHR with your favorite online tools. We offer various integrations, and thanks to our Zapier functionality, you can link HoorayHR to more than 7,000 software solutions.

Coming in quarters 3 and 4
We would like to highlight three important upcoming updates to keep you informed of what is to come. These updates offer a preview; the final result may differ, and we cannot give exact guarantees about deadlines. Of course, we are also working on other small improvements and new/improved integrations.

Documents 2.0: generate documents, configurable rights per category, and free digital signing [coming Q3]
We are about to introduce a beautiful and important renewal: a major update of our Document Management feature. Currently, you can already organize documents in different folders, set reminders, and sign digitally, but we are taking a big step forward. With Documents 2.0, you will soon be able to generate documents based on templates in your own house style, set rights for folders (e.g., which folders team leaders can view), and link documents to items (e.g., a loan agreement to a company asset). This way, we support the complete process from onboarding to signing contracts.
As a bonus, we are adding 3 free signings per user per year within each subscription. This way, we want to make generating and signing documents even easier.

Documents 2.0 is useful for:
- Save time by generating a document directly based on a template.
- Enrich data simply in HoorayHR: missing data in HoorayHR? Fill it in the document, and it is automatically in HoorayHR.
- Make documents accessible to the right teams for more structure.
- Find the right documents faster with items in HoorayHR
- Easier to get a contract signed with three free signed documents per user per year.
Workflows 2.0: easier colleague assignment, relative deadlines & bulk start [coming Q4]
With workflows, you can easily automate various processes in HoorayHR. To make workflows even more powerful, we are implementing some important improvements. With workflows 2.0, you can automatically assign the right colleagues to tasks. Additionally, we are introducing relative deadlines in the workflow templates, such as task 1 should occur seven days after the workflow’s start date and task 2 fourteen days later. Furthermore, you can now also bulk-start workflows for multiple colleagues simultaneously, which is handy for activating all review cycles at the beginning of the year.

Workflows 2.0 is useful for:
- Start a workflow faster by assigning colleagues in templates and setting relative deadlines
- More overview of workflows by categories
- Get started with workflows faster by bulk-starting them for multiple colleagues simultaneously.
Template gallery: inspiration and examples for reporting, feedback, documents, and workflows
We notice that our users need more examples and support to make optimal use of HoorayHR. Therefore, we are introducing a template gallery with numerous examples in the coming half-year, so you can get started faster with optimizing HR processes.
In the template gallery, you will find, among other things, templates for documents, meeting reports, feedback forms, and workflow templates.
The template gallery is useful for:
- Getting inspiration for onboarding processes or your performance cycle
- Templates are free to use and easy to customize
- Templates can be easily shared between environments. Handy if you have a multi-company setup or if you use HoorayHR as a business partner
- And you can easily save all your templates in your own template gallery, making it easy to share templates with the right colleagues.
And other improvements
